HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION

At Aqua Trails, we believe that outdoor activity and connection with nature benefits the body, mind, and spirit.  As an outdoor outfitter and tour provider, our top priority has always been our guests’ safety. Below are some of our health and safety measures that we follow daily, as well as what we need from you in order to ensure the safety of both guests and guides.

Our Commitment to You:

All PFDs (life jackets) and seats are soaked in a sanitizing solution and dried in the sun after each use.

Tour sizes are managed according to a guide-to-guest ratio for safety.

Guide boats are equipped with radios, cell-phones, med-kits, and tow lines on every tour. 

Guests' boats are sit-on-top, self-bailing, ocean kayaks. They are well suited for paddlers of all skill levels and abilities. Self-bailing vessels are designed to always float, even if turned over. Our guide boats are sit-inside kayaks, which are more efficient for towing other vessels, should the need arise.

Every tour is given a safety demonstration,  in which one of our guides explaines what to expect on tour, and how to correctly and safely use our equiptment. 

Rentals are given a demonstration on how to properly use their equiptment. Our employees will direct guests toward the safest route for venturing without a guide.

None of the kayaks that our guests use are above 5 years old. We buy brand new kayaks every season, and sell our older equiptment to those interested in owning their own gear. 

What We Need from You:

Please listen carefully to our safety demonstrations and directions.

Communicate with your guide, should a question or concern arise during your tour. Our guides are here to help you!

Mention any important injuries or allergies prior to your departure.

Wear your PDF (life jacket) properly. Ask a guide for help with adjusting the straps if needed.

During tours, please stay within sight and hearing-range of your guide. During rentals, please do not enter areas that our employees have described as dangerous or off-limits.

Please be patient as we take the necessary time to sanitize our equipment between tours and rentals.
